Update on Sarah

Sarah is doing better but still has significant wheezing and crackles. This is with antibiotics three times a day, solumedrol three times a day and nebulizations now every 4 hours, it was every 3 hours. Her IV fell out for the second time just a few minutes ago. The first time they put it in they dug around to get the vein. It took a half hour. So having the IV put in two more time has been very difficult. It is amazing it fell out again since Sarah is almost obsessive about her IV and making sure everything is ok. She has done an excellent job being extremely careful with it. Please pray that it stays in until she is discharged. Please also pray that she will get her appetite back. She has hardly eaten in a week. She is not hungry for anything. If she wants anything to eat we run to get it. This morning she wanted chocolate chip cookies. I ran home for the first time. I made the cookies and then let the maid bake them. I went and saw 20 patients. Ran home to get the cookies and pick up more essentials. By the time, I returned she didn´t want cookies. Also pray that she would be able to get lots of peaceful rest. She has been so sick that she was afraid to go to sleep. It has been extremely humid here more so in the mountain. We are suppose to have 2 to 3 days of rain. The doctor said she might be discharged tomorrow but I am really concerned for her to be discharged while she is receiving mega dosis of medicine and still have pronounced wheezing and crackles especially with the high humidity. I am concerned what will happen once she leaves her medicine and air conditioning and steps out into the humidity. Please pray for wisdom for the Dr. Hawitt as he is swamped with work and for his decisions with Sarah. He is a suburb doctor but the humidity in the mountain is so much worse than the city. Pray also that I can get some rest. I am staying with Sarah since I am comfortable around all the medical stuff. I was home maybe 3 hours. When I talked to Toby and Sarah it was urgent that I get back since her IV fell out. We appreciate your prayers and encouragement. They are definitely needed as life is extremely stressful right now.
