We were offered a piece of property last week where the clinic is. We have been praying that God would provide a new place to live for us. Where we currently live is where all the thieves live. They are not dangerous thieves. They enjoy robbing houses when no one is home. We never know when we come back home after a day if we will still have our posessions. Various people have poisoned our dog Eric so that it would be easier getting in.
Eric is a huge dog so the poison only makes him very sick for several days. Penitas Arriba is a more quiet and less thievery area. The house where we currently live is rent free and belongs to John and Madonna Spratt. One of the reasons they left was due to all the thieves. The laws for where we live state you have to have a house built on a piece of property.
Construction may only be done on an existing structure. Up until now no property has been available in Penitas. The main store owner in Penitas,
Don Roberto, daughter was in an accident. It was her fault. Due to all the high bills he is having to sell off a lot of property.The house is an adobe structure. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We would like to build a new bedroom and bathroom for ourselves. Then as money or groups are available to work on our home we would fix up the rest of the house. It has a place for vehicles as well as a lot of room to expand. It is also a good investment. There are plans to put a drainage system past our house. They are also planning on making the road almost like a paved road. Don Roberto said that they are also measuring for phone lines (praise the Lord!!!). This would drive the price on land up higher. The cost for the property and house is $13,000 according to the agreement Toby and Don Roberto reached yesterday. With the cost of infertility treatment our finances are tight. As for infertility testing and treatment, we have had some encouraging news. We go in today to talk to the doctor to see what the next step is. As of right now things are looking like we have a high probability of conceiving with some other treatment. We are coming home on furlough in October through December. We would really like to have the baby in the states so everyone could see our precious gift. The time is getting very close. Please pray that the Lord will bless in the next two months.
