We have really enjoyed having Stan Bowers, Dr. Rick Compton, and his son Alex here with us. They have been such a blessing. They have also been able to do a lot in a short amount of time. They built five benches to supplement the growing people attending our church. They also put up ceiling for the Sunday School classrooms and the clinic. It will allow the Sunday School classes to have a little more activity. Toby worked hard to get everything they needed up here. They were able to get so much accomplished that Toby had to go to the city to buy several more things. Toby is really excited to see the church's expression when they see all the guys have accomplished. Stan also repaired our stove. I use it all the time to bake things it will be so nice to be able to use it again. Dr. Compton tried to repair a leak in a sink and a light that was broken. He figured out what the problem was. He explained to Toby what needed to be done to fix them.

We took the men down to the house we are thinking of buying. Stan thought it looked pretty sound although it will need a lot of work. We then found out there could be a title dispute. It seems Don Roberto owns the house but not the land. We will have to get the deed from Don Roberto and check it out in the city. Before we give one cent we want to make sure that the land and house will be ours. It is right next to the church so it would make life a lot easier on Toby and I. Toby would be free to do whatever he needed to do. It would be no problem for me to walk the short distance to the clinic. Please keep the house issue in your prayers.

Tuesday morning we left for our rural clinic La Union de Rio Frio at 5:30 a.m. It was a busy day. Christine Vigil also came bringing people for us that we could not fit into our truck as well as the medicine. She taught a class. The former minister at our church came and gave a wonderful devotion. We asked him to give a devotion on helping your neighbors. He did an excellent job. There were four men that were interested in having an evangelical church. Toby will start to work on that soon. Stan and Alex took weights which helped speed up the consultations. Toby visited with the men in the area. Dr. Compton helped me see patients as well as giving some excellent advice. We all worked well together as a team.

Dr. Compton had felt since he is an orthopedic doctor that he could not be of much assistance to me. He continually offered me valuable advice. My helper, Lita, has been having severe pain for while. Dr. Compton was able to give an injection to ease the pain as well as some medication. One gentleman in La Union had a huge ABCs in his leg. Dr. Compton was able to lance it and take out the infection. Since most of the people here work in the fields bone pain is rampant. I now know how much Ibuprofen I can give a day. It was wonderful to have advice from a doctor.

My nurse, Yami, has been on maternity leave for 3 months and started back to work on Wednesday. Her daughter's name is Sucelle Diana. Sucelle now weighs 11 pounds. She is an adorable little baby. Yami will be starting back a little slowly. Thursday is a day off for her. Friday the dentist comes for about two hours and the rest of the day is free. Lita and I are taking the opportunity to catch up on some things that have waited until Yami returned. Lita plans to give her house a good cleaning. I plan on visiting with two doctors after we send the guys off. One doctor is an American studying Spanish and building relationships with doctors in the San Pedro area. He has offered to come and help in the clinic occasionally. If he comes he will give guidance on how to treat various things. Dr. Zuniga is the doctor I have been seeing for infertility treatment. He has volunteered his time two times a month. Tomorrow we will discuss the details as well as the next step for infertility treatment. I will either have surgery next Thursday or Friday. Please keep me in your prayers.

Two weekends ago, the church had their first revival services over three nights. We had around 135 people attend each night. Everyone seemed to enjoy the services. Amable, the former minister, brought his worship team from where he is ministers. They did an excellent job. Toby has six young men who are interested in attending the Bible Institute. He has discussed with them starting a couple of discipleship groups. He will be starting those within the next two weeks. Toby has been encouraged by the number of men attending the church services. He also continues to preach on Tuesday evenings. Over all things are going very well.

God bless,

Toby and Amy
