Updates on Daniel Hernandez
3/14/06
Many of you will remember Daniel Hernandez the little boy who I brought to the states for surgery several years ago. His biological father asked us to find someone to adopt him knowing if Daniel stayed here in Honduras he would die from his health condition. Two years ago an American couple agreed to adopt him. Today his biological parents went to the capital to give the final renouncing of their rights as parents. That part went well. Oneida, the biological mother, does not have a birth certificate and has never been the hours of noon and after. when we be going to the city to work on this. We will be leaving immediately after clinic. The lawyer said that Daniel has continuously been sick and he needs to get to the states immediately. As soon as the judge receives the cedula the adoption will hopefully be finalized within a month.
Thank you for your prayers,

Dear friends and family,
Things are going great! We have had 2 churches ask to join us. Churches that were dying and now are growing. Cofradia is going great. The only problem is that they meet in the minister's home and hardly more than 20 can fit inside their house. We need to find them a new home as the owner isn't paying for the water or electricity and all that will soon be turned off plus several other problems. With a bigger home more people can attend the services. The ministers have found a piece of property that is right next to the central
park (where everything happens) for $16,000. It has a wall surrounding it which would cut down a lot of expense for us. There is enough room to build a minister's house and a church. It actually has paperwork to go with it. Many places in Honduras do not have paperwork so the "owners" will sell it to several people and none of those people actually get the property but the "owner" makes a ton of money. Please pray with us that if the Lord will's the funding will be provided to buy this piece of property and then funds to build the minister's home.
The ministers have recommended several men to Toby that can be trained for the ministry. Several of these men have a lot of potential. They also have 3 places that are possible for church plants. Our biggest problem is that most places do not have paperwork for the property. The ministers have finally caught on to what all they should be doing. They are on fire. The last meeting they could barely contain themselves with all the exciting things going on. They kept saying I am so busy doing such and such. They are really making wise decision and looking to the Bible for every decision. They are ready to help prepare the next group to attend the institute. As the years go by the men become more solid and the ministry continues to grow.
We appreciate your prayers and support. As the ministry grow we will need both to increase as the men face many difficulties and challenges. God is good and it is so exciting to see all the possibilities but as mentioned before we need your continued prayers and support to make this happen.
May God bless you,
Toby, Amy, Cassandra, Sarah, and Jonathan Hill

God is good! I wanted to give you a brief update on the situation with Daniel's mom. Today after clinic I went down to the city to meet with a friend to see if she had any contact with someone at the National Registry. She did. That friend was able to get us immediately Oneida's birth certificate which you need for a national identification
card (cedula). They told us at the Registry it would take 3 months to receive the cedula but they have said that for 4 years and Oneida has never received one. Thank you for your prayers they make a big difference and please continue praying.
May God bless you,
Amy Hill

Things continue to go great! The lawyer has an aunt who works in the National Registry. She wasn't sure if she still worked there or not. We just had a change in political parties so that means the new party staffs all government agencies and takes out the old. Tomorrow the
aunt's son plays in Guatemala so I will escort Otilio and Oneida to the capital to plead our case on Monday. Please pray that the aunt can get us in to see director. He has the power to get it done quickly.
God bless,
Amy Hill
