Dear friends and family,

Daniel was able to have his procedure done today. The doctors and nurses did not find any traces of his respiratory infection thankfully. In the procedure they took out two stints. These stints held open the kidneys so that they could drain easily without clogging. In a week or two they will check and see how the kidneys are functioning with a blood test and ultrasound. They also checked out the bladder. The doctor said it looked great. They took how his big long tubing that was draining his bladder.
They put a smaller one in case he has complications and is not able to urinate. They will probably take out his special IV line tomorrow. So little by little he is getting rid of all his equipment and doing better. I talked to his nurse tonight. She said that Daniel has bladder control which is really exciting. We were not expecting that. He is in a little bit of pain but doing OK otherwise.

It looks like he could come home in two weeks as long as their are no complications. So pray that there will be none please. His cast could come off Monday and if not Monday then within two weeks. Daniel is doing so much better. Today he stood up almost by himself up for about 10 minutes which is a first. The other night he turned on his stomach. He is getting more and
more active every day. Thank you again for all your prayer. Please keep praying for Daniel and for us as we head back on Tuesday.

God bless,

Toby, Amy, and Daniel
