Dear friends and family,
Our trip back was a bit of a problem. When we arrived at the Indy airport we found our tickets weren't valid for some reason. The resolution of the problem cost us $100 each and an overnight in the Newark, NJ area with the trip to Houston and Honduras on Saturday. So instead of getting in at 11:30 Friday we got in at 11:30 Saturday and we had no way to let those in San Pedro Sula know we were coming in a day late. We did go to get groceries. Two of our young men stayed in our home while we were gone and there was no food in the house. We were concerned because everything closes down early for the long weekend for Independence Day. We made it to
the grocery store and accomplished some other errands before going up the
mountain. Some of our ministers came to help with unloading the
truck and getting things in the house. It was so good to find everything
fine at the house and with the churches. Sunday morning we attended the
International (English) Church in the city. We announced our pregnancy and
enjoyed the fellowship. In the evening it was the same with the Penitas
(base) Church. We were able to keep up with things in Honduras while in the States. Juan had our phone and also e-mailed. The ministry has been exploding with one new church plant, six baptisms and new preaching points are open. The men in Toby's discipleship groups are eager to start again and are really excited about the program. New times for meetings are being set and we are also working with new men who want to join the discipling program. Please pray that the Lord will guide Toby to the men He wants to be discipled and trained for ministry. The clinic was open Wednesday the 17th. Only 29 came so we figure they weren't aware that we are back. A large group was anticipated, but it was nice to have a slower day. Now we will see if the rush comes in Friday. Toby and I are so excited to be back in Honduras reviewing the exciting thing the Lord has in store for our ministries here. Your prayers are most needed that we will be wise and understanding in fulfilling our duties. Also that the pregnancy will go well. Pray too that funds will be coming for the medicines. God bless, Toby, Amy and
