We are expecting a new arrival in our family due April 22, 2004. After five years of not being able to conceive  I'm even grateful for the morning sickness since to me that is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. We are ten weeks along and doing well.  My birthday is April 23 and recently my birthday presents have been getting better and better.  Three years ago it was a Cocker Spaniel puppy (I love Cockers, had one from my earliest years growing up). Last year we received Cassandra shortly after my birthday. Adoption was such a difficult thing in Honduras but with all we went through we were considering doing so again. The Lord decided it was time to conceive and bear one of our own. Cassandra doesn't quite understand what is going on except that there is a lot of talk about a baby. She will be a wonderful big sister.

We are very glad to be back in Honduras.  Everything is going well. Six baptisms while we were gone, the churches are growing and evangelizing.  Our guys at the Bible Institute slacked off in their studies while Toby was gone. We fear Efraim has returned to the former lifestyle. He was the town drunk, but came to Christ. Toby is going to his home town to work with him and persuade him to come work for us.  The first week back Toby met with the ministers and those in discipleship groups. While things went well in our absence there are some problems and issues to be resolved.

As for the clinic, I had 29 patients my first day back, 17th, the 43 on that Friday and 45 on the following Monday. One man came with a machete wound about 4 inches long around his wrist but no tendons or ligaments were cut.  Several ladies came for prenatal care. It has been great to be at the clinic again and hear how much the patients missed us. \

Our security issues are better.  While we were gone a group of four men robbed most of the vehicles going up and down the mountain. Some thirty or forty and fortunately we were gone.  We believe they were the same that tried to rob Amy four months ago.  We are being told that the people here killed two in the mountain and a third was shot and killed in the city. A four man left the area. The effect is that the mountain is safer now than in the last four years.

So the work is going well. We are happy to be back home to a normal schedule. It has been a joy to visit with the mountain people and get caught up and all that is going on in their lives.

God bless you,
Toby, Amy and Cassandra Hill
