Dear friends and family, Rainy season is definitely here! It has rained for three weeks straight all day and night. We are currently having a break from all the rain. We are so thankful that the roads have a chance to dry. This Tuesday I have a vaccination clinic and next Tuesday I have a rural clinic in La Union. Last week we went up where Toby is helping an elderly couple. The roads were land-sliding from all the water. Until Saturday, I did not know if we would be able to go do the clinics due to road conditions. Thankfully my brother-in-law bought us some mud tires. They are awesome. They can get us through most anything.

Last week, Toby and I went to visit Don Philip and his wife. Toby is paying a man to rebuild their house. As an elderly couple they do not have the means to keep up their house. I had not been there before so Toby explained what they had done to the house. Toby showed me how they had built up new adobe walls; put in new doors, and new roofing. He is planning on putting in a concrete floor still. One of the best things is they have a toilet. The wife can barely walk. It is difficult for her to get to the outhouse a little distance a way over rutted trails. Toby brought the piece with him to make the toilet work and then explained everything to Don Philip. Along the way there were a couple of elderly people who could not make it to the clinic. I did not bring anything with me so I chatted with them to get a basic idea of the problem. I will return this Tuesday to check on them.

Toby is beginning to preach once a week at church. His Spanish is doing much better now. The people seemed to understand his sermons so he will continue to preach. We both are helping with Sunday School. The kids are doing much better. We were excited to have a total of 69 people in church today. When we started there were approximately 25 people in the church-children included. We have new men coming every Sunday. Sometimes they do not feel comfortable coming inside the church but they will stand outside the church. The people in the church are really enjoying Santos preaching. It is amazing how much he has grown. He is really enjoying the Bible Institute. He has one more year left. During this year he will be picking up moter. God bless,

Toby and Amy
